There's something semantically (not syntactically) different about these two. In the first, the cb can be called many times.

IMO errors should implicitly bubble up & crash unless handled explicitly. Seen so much broken code because of missing error propagation.

I always thought thunks were superior to callbacks (and would easily allow the API you mentioned as implemented in 'co').
