you don't set the value of a key, you give the value and the storage layer gives you a hash of the value.

it's an old trick, databases do it to avoid parallelization conflicts under the hood, but it's becoming popular in userland cause blockchain

content addressable storage *is* low level, it's more low level than this API for sure, you want to build this on top of it :)
