I like to complain about Webpack, but I just replaced 5 deps and two broken lines of Browserify scripts with it and couldn’t be happier.

I feel about Browserify same way I do about Unix shell commands: seems powerful but I can never get it right.
Browserify is closer to a linker with a plugin system than a full blown compiler. It's intended to be configured and then republished
