Why not speak to it via API? Or aren't you talking about docker?
runc, docker, rkt - they're all Go. I'd rather not IPC usually; brings about all sorts of complexity compared to single process

We wouldn't recommend shelling out for zlib or fs access either - this stuff should be possible by binding to a lib
