yeah I amended them when modifying a PR so it's all me
lol - ya pretty sure it can be exploited tho haha
- make illegitimate commits appear more genuine - tho v much hypothetical
I don't think I understand how… wouldn't a bad actor need to sign the commit with your private key?
they could sign it with any key and my email and it would appear as "verified"
given GitHub is not filtering this on a per-repo basis but I dont think they do sooo
sorry man I guess I don't understand what you mean by the risk 
hah yeah probably just the gains of verification being mitigated unless someone clicks through to see _who_ signed the commit
but ya it's like not a big deal; just felt it was something unexpected
