I work on a 12" screen. If anything is more than 80 chars wide / cannot be grasped in half a screen's worth of height it's useless for me

shouldn't visual text wrapping in your editor do the trick? Passing your constraints on others not nice. Agree on height tho.

no, it's a crappy solution - you ever wrap? It messes up jumping through text for me which is arguably worse than long lines
