What do people think of sometimes annotating <div> elements with "data-name" attributes to mention what they for?

What about classes for selecting? data-name is fine of course, but most often the others also fine I think.
hah yeah so I'm using classes for styling; if I start using it for other stuff too things can get hairy :/

Ah, yeah, I get that. You can go with a specific prefix, `js-thing` or `name-thing` or something, but it’ll still collide a bit
