nah, I disagree; existing Unix systems are a total mess and packaging that stuff up into managed abstractions provides sanity
the goal is to get dev cost down in the long run, I'm getting there for my own stuff. It's always the long run that matters

I guess it depends on the context of your work. In mine (early stage startups), migrating to Docker was a mistake.

yeah think the ecosystem is only now coming together well; k8 makes handling docker easier, but it's *just* getting usable it seems
