the main one I can see is that you get to transpile your code even in Node 6
People are talking import v require compat again, and all I'm left wondering is what benefits import has other than: "It's a spec, stupid"

from my understanding Rollup only works with imports and it produces lighter bundles than Browserify

because it will eventually support tree shaking so when you import lodash to loop over an array your bundle isn't 30Mb.

it currently doesn't, and there are no other advantages, and if you don't use monolithic modules it provides nothing, but yeah.
