      Browserify has >40 direct deps IIRC. Can you COPY node_modules in addition to package.json? Often like to do that anyway.

      Ain't nothin' wrong with committing node_modules. Otherwise: More RAM. You're asking npm to do a lot with leftovers of 512MB.

      All considered, you almost certainly really, really want an npm@3 tree. What's wrong with committing node_modules?

          would have to be from my local machine, which is a mac. So npm rebuild after that. idk; it also doesn't work for contribs :/
