yeah, but like don't you have an email address - getting a fax means finding a fax somewhere in germany. I don't own one

also: "security" - changing my phone number has nothing to do with that; you already let me do that no questions asked before

this is very normal in germany. On every corner you are confronted with outdated approaches to almost everything :/
