we added live sync to latest version of Dat that does this. You can sync via CLI & we have early versions of desktop, web apps.
haha yeah, I had Dat in the back of my mind for this - sync is two-way binding right? Not upload + download dirs right?

right now only one person can write to source and many peers can copy. We will allow multiple people to write to source soon.
