yup. Initial window without needing an acknowledgement is about 14kb. Can have more than 1 packet in flight.
ahh, so there's ACKs in between to signal the window must stay open? - saw something about them, but didn't get it

is that the "single rtt" you were referring to? each ack causes an extra roundtrip?

yeah, any time the sender has to wait for an acknowledgement to know the receiver has memory to receive into.
