What's with people liking custom elements? I feel the only argument going for them is: "it's globally scoped XML" - and not sure that's good

in Instapaper/Pocket you can implement a parser that will put placeholder & link to a map when it sees <map src="x">
interesting; but `<map>` is a normal HTML tag, right? http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_map.asp …. Even `<map is="my-custom-map">` can be set from JS

yeah, but I meant something custom, which is not yet a real tag. ARIA, data and micro-formats could be used for that as well
