objects are the norm in redux; browsers use the "data" key for data in events, not "payload" - reckon sticking to what browsers is ok here

payload seems a lot more descriptive here. But it's a bit off a pet peeve
haha, but it's soo looonngggg - "ls" is also easier than typing "listmybloodydirectoryplease" every time
