Maybe part of the reason why I feel uncomfortable building huge things is because I don't have a file tree in my sidebar; I only use "tree"
welp, found the "ranger" file explorer - it's looking pretty good so far; definitely makes large repos more navigatable :D

@yoshuawuyts assuming you use vim: :E opens file explorer. `i` will cycle through display modes, one of which is a tree. -
