@yoshuawuyts there's Alpine's package manager packaged for Nix, and there's Nix packaged for Alpine — you could build an AMI easily though

@FrozenFire have you considered contributing nix-for-alpine back to the apk repo? Or is it non-trivial? I'd def use it!

@yoshuawuyts I have no association with the Alpine folks, and I'm kinda waiting for a new musl release + new Nix release

@yoshuawuyts both have patches of mine in their respective master branches, but not yet in a release

@yoshuawuyts at the moment nixpkgs is basically the only project I contribute to, and the musl folks seemed super chill so I rolled with it

@yoshuawuyts these days I'm fairly reluctant to contribute to random open source projects because I'm kinda done with the attitudes

@yoshuawuyts generally I spend some time scoping out the culture of a project, and in Alpine's case, I haven't done that yet

@yoshuawuyts I also don't really use Alpine because NixOS is kinda irreplaceable for me
