      @yoshuawuyts if you do choose to roll with AWS, avoid higher-level services, stick to EC2, S3. avoid EBS like the plague, avoid us-east.

      @yoshuawuyts there's http://swift.openstack.org  but I strongly distrust OpenStack, Joyent Manta is a reasonable alternative you can self-host
