I'm suspecting that the best way to fix streams is to actually break compat; but that's not particularly an option - damn

the amount of complexity in Node streams might signal that the model itself is broken, incremental changes don't fix broken models

though broken models can get very far; e.g. "done is better than perf". HTTP & JS could easily be considered broken, but it's been great!
