A pull model for monitoring makes sense; ssh into a server, and read out files rather than push from processes on machines that might die

@termie I guess reading out files is the disk persisted version of what you're saying; good one. Though disk doesn't provide history

@yoshuawuyts not really, your method requires that the monitoring server have net route to all the nodes, not so when the nodes do the conn -
