      @alexindigo server has no concept of DOM, whereas webcomponent fully rely on it. Workarounds are either clunky, fragile and slow

      @yoshuawuyts I see. Thanks. Rendering any html on the server is a hack. Proper (no fallbacks) render of WC shouldn't be any trickier.

          @yoshuawuyts I mean we have all kinds of templating engines, but all they do is to (particularly) augment DOM on the server.

          @yoshuawuyts Ideally we'd use DOM on the server to translate data structure and dump it into html representation.
