perhaps I haven't seen message queues used (effectively) in practice because they're often kind of clunky?
I would want a message queue to be non-invasive; but perhaps that's impossible b/c how TCP works. Just capture ports. idk. Any examples?

@yoshuawuyts you want either idempotency or reliable processing tracking. It's a big design imposition, affects app semantics. -
