The fact that you can't pipe into `echo` in shell is weird. `cat` was made for concatenating, not echoing to stdout.

@aredridel it's just that on the one hand I love Unix and what it does, on the other hand it's sometimes hard to learn every single gotcha
@aredridel e.g. In this case "echo" does not what I expected it to do. I'm not sure how I am appealing to orthodoxy? Wouldn't suggest change

@aredridel true, but even busybox ships with like 50-100 commands. Sometimes it's hard to remember how they all work. - 1 more reply
