The fact that you can't pipe into `echo` in shell is weird. `cat` was made for concatenating, not echoing to stdout.
@aredridel e.g. In this case "echo" does not what I expected it to do. I'm not sure how I am appealing to orthodoxy? Wouldn't suggest change
