      @jaffathecake if a promise just so happens to wrap an assertion that throws, it will incorrectly catch it. It's bad.

      @jaffathecake I'm positive I'm not the first to criticize promises as the only way to access browser APIs. What was the case against funcs?

      @yoshuawuyts functions are still part of APIs. I guess you're talking about something specific that I'm missing here.

      @jaffathecake fetch and service workers force you to use promises in your programs where they easily could also be exposed as functions
