@yoshuawuyts Moreover most modules have dev script with it, so you just edit the source, run `npm run build` and that's it.
@operatino if every module all the way down requires you to do that you have an unworkable situation. More so: npm doesn't install dev deps.

@operatino I do understand where you're coming from though, I mostly write ES2015 now. It's just for modules that it shouldn't be done yet.

@operatino re dev deps: I work offline about half the time. Not being able to dig into a module if it breaks is a no go. -
@yoshuawuyts In this case I understand your concerns, but dont agree that its a common use case. Repo is for produciton code, sources on GH.
