      The solution to callback hell is not promises but generators. Being able to yield into functions is incredible.

      @yoshuawuyts have you used Python with some sort of coroutines library like gevent? I agree it's far simpler

      @yoshuawuyts @mwhooker well, that's sort of true, the actual answer is coroutines, but generators is what you discover after promises

      @termie @mwhooker hah, have to admit I've never really done promises. Somehow it just didn't appeal to me. Curious about goroutines though.

          @yoshuawuyts @mwhooker promises excel at error handling and fan-out/fan-in so until you build actual large projects you don't see the need
