Is adding more defensive programming a feature?

@yoshuawuyts stability isn't a feature, so i'd make it a patch level change
@juliangruber but if you're adding dependencies and changing behavior, does that still count as a patch?

@yoshuawuyts yea this is where semver doesn't work so well...and with `^1.0.0` patches and minor are indifferent anyways so it will float inThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
