@getify @npmjs I have the opposite reaction — what is positive about a lack of dependencies?

@isntitvacant that it's a simple lib/tool that will be easy to compose without worrying about dependency baggage.

@getify @isntitvacant this is a bit sad since node/npm's selling point is less need to worry about dependency baggage.

@secoif @isntitvacant IMO dependency baggage is absolutely out of control on npm. the avg depth of dependency is 8.5. it's insane.

@getify @secoif @isntitvacant Exactly as it should be. Thats the result of small composable modules.

@butlermaurice @secoif @isntitvacant there will of course be some dependencies. i'm not saying zero. i'm saying there's way too much now.
