Wondering if anyone has ever tried sifting espresso into the portafilter to get a super even distribution. Kinda like how bakers sift flour to make it combine more evenly.

Oh I've seen these, but this is for removing fines and analyzing your grind quality I think, i don't really want to separate out anything, just very evenly break up clumps putting it into the portafilter.

Heh, so I know nothing besides what I'm reading: but this seems to be what they refer to as "boulders", which are not so much clumps as "coffee that wasn't ground properly". Isn't compressing coffee when putting it into an espresso machine kind of like clumping it together?
