*back from gym* Okay, so I'm just gonna take this as a chance to draft a new version of this issue, but with even more research behind it. I think I found a routine in the compiler that's run several million times per run, and can probably be turned from 50 cycles -> 1 cycle.

I thought github caches text fields in local storage. Several times, It has loaded whatever I wrote in reply to a issue after I refreshed the page.

haha, yeah that's true. Except my tab seems to have evaporated into the ether. Doesn't show up as closed. Doesn't appear in the history of any other tab. Just... gone. And my work along with it
