The experience of learning the bullet journal method reminds me most of learning vim. A lot feels awkward. Seemingly simple things take longer than they should. But the parts I've got the hang of already feel *way* better.

Something I'd like to do is break my infinite work cycle. For me work is easy; it's present, and can fill all my available time. I'm rarely bored. But it comes at the cost of, like, life. There are so many friends I haven't seen in ages. And recipes and exercises.

Changing this requires deliberate action. And bullet journaling is a tool designed to help facilitate this. Even if the tool is imperfect; I feel that at least I'm heading in the right direction with this.
