Not coding today because holidays. But been thinking of picking up nushell, and switching to Windows proper. Too many things don't work on Windows. But I don't have the knowledge of how to fix that — but I'd like to learn how.

Interesting - I think it's very rare to come across this with WSL2, but for niche stuff that rings true. it's a chicken-egg problem until more people like you jump in

Oh, so I was thinking of targeting Windows native with this. That's the env I feel gets the least amount of attention. WSL is excellent for most day-to-day things already though, and suspect I'll be using that as my primary env. But being able to switch between the two is

A lot of people use PowerShell on Windows instead of WSL & Bash. There are good examples of how much can be done with PowerShell. Scoop https://scoop.sh was useful for installing *nix CLI tools to Windows before I started using a virtual machine with a full Linux desktop.

That was before WSL2, but still thinking that many would rather use the native Windows PowerShell CLI environment instead of adding complexity with the extra layers.
