Something's always bugged me about the definition of Zalgo... in any sort of preempting scheduler, you can always have callbacks executed before their "parent" returns, right?

That whole conversation (the Zalgo post and Havoc's) seem to be focused on cooperative multitasking (coroutines/callbacks/equivalent). With preemptive threads there's not much room for implicit reasoning on the state of locks anyway.
