Note that while currently the only items `IntoStream` is implemented for is `Vec`, we plan to add it to more types. Which means it'll soon be possible to e.g. have two streams, call `zip` on them to convert them to a single stream of tuples, and `collect` that into a hashmap.
Will you also add one that collects into Result<Vec<T>, E>? The standard library has one of these for an iterator of Result<T, E> and I think that would be really cool to have for streams.
It returns either all successes or the first error that occurs in the iterator. I imagine for streams it could return the first error that occurs in any of the streams.
Ohhh, yes we should totally have that! If you're willing to contribute, that would be a *fantastic* patch. But otherwise I'd be happy to add it to my backlog!
It's all thanks to you and everyone else working on this crate! Your code is organized well and I was able to base the implementation on how the standard library works since you structured everything so similarly.
Yay, thanks for the kind words. That's exactly what we were hoping to achieve!
