Yay anyway, I created a small matrix CI setup for github CI (different OS's x rust versions). MacOS and Windows don't work quite yet, so if someone wants to take this and riff on it, it'd be much appreciated if y'all could share notes back!https://gist.github.com/yoshuawuyts/3a9f3c345f26f66e06753119a19c8a68 …

At least on mac the problem seems to be that rustup isn't shipped by default by github, so probably need to install it through homebrew: https://help.github.com/en/articles/software-in-virtual-environments-for-github-actions#macos-1014 …

We’re working with the rust team to improve the “out of the box” experience. We’d love your feedback.

Hi, I appreciate you reaching out! I was working on a write-up today, but I kind of realized that what we really need is to experiment with what's possible. And the best way to get there would be to have Rustup available by default on MacOS and Windows too!

I guess a step beyond that would be to be able to matrix choose release channels (nightly, beta, stable), and have rustfmt, clippy, and rustfix installed out of the box. But these are more nice to have once Rustup is available
