My hot take on tech is: it's a lot of fun to build things, companies tend to pay a lot for access to tech workers, but overall what we produce doesn't seem to be that useful

My understanding of the essays is that when people talk about some things being hard to place a value on (for example helping ur neighbours), the problem doesn't lie with that action it being hard to value. It lies in the fact that value itself is an inadequate framing.
