Why not just use Manjaro? It's as easy to set up as Ubuntu is, but sports Arch under the hood. Being using it for a while -- had no issues. Also it has AUR, which is a gamechanger.

Arch / Manjaro both have the problem that they're not supported by most vendors, which means tools like BCC or printer drivers aren't available by default. So even if AUR works, it'll still be a pain for a lot of things I want to do. Ubuntu gets me up and running faster.
