Internet friends if I wanted to get started with toying around with web servers in rust, what would be recommendations for http frameworks, talking to redis/postgres, etc?

Looking for something not-django/rails like, but more lower level than that.

I think tide for http is quite approachable right now. Things are still changing, but the general direction feels solid. I know some r2d2 + diesel is quite common, but I haven't tried either so can't say more about it.

What are the deps for tide? i've got tide and futures-preview, but still getting a ton of compiler spam about core::task::Content. Do I need to be on a nightly? (I couldn't find requirements in the README?)

Try nightly 2019-03-31. Futures API was recently changed, and we're going to publish a patch for compat later today or tomorrow.

Should be the last time smth like this breaks; futures is almost stabilized which means it won't change again!!
