This essentially brings top-level await to Rust, which is something I've wanted in other languages for years now. It's also generic over any backing runtime, so you can switch between Romio + Juliex and Tokio by changing a single line. Very excited for the future of async Rust!

What do fns with return types look like?
-
Runtime supports returning Result from main just like you'd expect it to. And you can call other async fns from main without any problems either (: Example:https://github.com/rustasync/runtime/blob/master/examples/guessing.rs#L66 …

Hi Yosh, sad to ask you this, are you gonna leave Choo alone? You go with Rust is like
@tjholowaychuk left Express joining Go

Hey, thanks for asking! I consider Choo to be mostly done actually; lots of people use it daily, and seem happy with it. Also commits still happen regularly without me needed. Atm you're right Ive been doing more rust, in particular focused on async rust for networking and WASM
