we technically do this in stylo! all we had to do was teach bindgen that certain named types were borrowed types this doesn't need to be part of the ABI at all, this is a type-level thing, it just needs to be a part of the bindings generation

In stylo the rust code actually gets FFI functions with full lifetime information because we've specified the borrow info on the C++ side
