Wrote a quick layer 4 (TCP) proxy this afternoon, and can't get over how nice it is to use async/await with Romio + Juliex.

The pitch for Romio + Juliex is that we believe it's a really nice way to use async/await based IO in Rust, and think it's great to setup & get going with! Also "thin bindings" to the underlying OS are still very fast, and they're unlikely to be the bottleneck for most people.
