TIL TLS 1.3 uses 25519 curves to encrypt handshake data. I think it's cool that we've finally started encrypting internet handshakes!

Heh, cool. Apparently TLS 1.3 provides two "tickets" per successful handshake. This means after the initial handshake two connections can be opened before needing to do more work. I wonder how much impact this will have on heavy latency situations. Reckon HTTP/2 helps.

Finally got around to reading https://tls13.ulfheim.net/ . Like most spec explainers it's a bit dry, but it feels enlightening to understand which steps are needed to make a TLS 1.3 connection work.
