I quite like that people are bringing up that Rust, as a language, is almost feature complete. Just a few outstanding proposals that need to be implemented, but that's it. I find it very calming actually. Having a sense of "done" feels really nice.

Yeah, in my experience it's all about attitudes. You want a community that's curious about new ideas rather than smug about their own superior language. (Although, arguably, Haskell in some ways manages to be both, so idk.)

One of the many reasons I didn’t interact with the community when I used Haskell professionally. Many I had interacted with were "like if you don’t get monads come back later and try again" rather than thinking "maybe we’re bad at teaching". Learned a lot using it though
