Had a good conversation at RustFest about naming things, and being able to encourage certain behavior without shaming people out of alternatives. I wish "don't shame people out of doing things" would be a design principle we could all agree on.

Whenever shaming becomes part of an API, it intentionally creating warts to disencourage use. Whether it's "dangerouslySetInnerThing", unsafe {}", or "CollissionProneDataStructure" — the design would likely be better if the need to shame wasn't present.
