One of my least favorite things about programming is the amount of celebrity culture that's around. Just because someone was credited with a feat does not mean they have better insights than most. It just means they got credit for it.

Also I'm very well aware that celebrity culture has very much benefited me. Not that I'm like famous or anything, but in certain circles I do get recognized occasionally. But it doesn't mean it's not a structural problem for the industry, and something we need to keep working on
