Eeeeeeeep, I'm super excited about GitHub Actions. I think this means we'll be able to publish Rust Crates / npm packages directly from GitHub's UI

But actions are run on every commit? Or you get to trigger them?

afaik it's manual for now, but I reckon they'll find ways to add more hooks & automation, fast. I feel it's GitHub's approach for "infrastructure as code", which feels like a step beyond third-party bots & integrations.

In a way this also feels like a move by GitHub to be in stronger control of the user experience. I'm not sure what the repercussions will be; can only hope it's for the best. Some flows I'm excited about: - generate changelogs - release to {launchpad,AUR,homebrew} - CVE publish
