I mean, @owickstrom warned me, but I'm really starting to get a sense of how truly terrible the Gtk+ API is today. I might be in the market for a new UI toolkit.

Am assured things will improve for Gtk 4, which makes me happy, but on the other hand Qt has had a great API since the 90s... all I'd need is up to date Qt bindings...

And, tbh, my impression has been that Qt's API is _too_ great - it feels a lot harder to successfully move Qt's more modern features into a Rust paradigm than it does with Gtk's much more basic skill set.

Maybe I should just grab Qt's WebEngine or maybe even this native Rust HTML engine I've heard rumours of and stick Yew on top of it and welcome to Electron on Rust...
