I will never understand the strong emotional attachment of people to tiny syntactical things like post-increment through `x++`.

I kind of get it though; when you're used to something working a particular way, deviations can be surprising. Especially if things otherwise are similar. But it's ommisions like those that allow for shorthands of common things like ? for error handling instead of ternaries

Not saying this because I don't think you know this already, but found it a useful frame to explain to newcomers which positive tradeoffs these ommisions have
