Heh, figured out I didn't need most of the "extern crate" clauses I had in my code. Excited to be removing the ones I have in Rust 2018 when they'll just be implied :D Swooosh. https://github.com/datrs/hypercore/commit/662806d22843b04b67ce88d9b07a026ae22e6c07 …

Haha, same! I think it's my #2 fave quality of life change coming down. My #1 fave is having `dbg!(arg1, arg2);` to replace `println!("{:?} {:?}, arg1, arg2);` It's the tiny things :D

My god, yeah - that'll crack open so much stuff. I think doing a retro in January next year will make clear just how much better Rust will have gotten in 2018. All while staying true to its values. I'm super super stoked about it :D

Oh yeah, speaking of: did you end up writing the birthday retro, or is that delegated to the end of the year?

Oh I need to publish it. I ended up doing one for Increasing Rust's reach that was a bit similar and wanted to give some distance between posts. Should probably get my year 3 part it out this week. Most of it is already written.

It's probably one of the biggest for my own growth in the community as well as the community itself. Need to grab some stats but a lot had happened in a year
