Actually pretty worth it. And thankfully the iPad Air is just as powerful as the the regular iPads but cheaper.

There are other devices out there that do the same job. IE Samsung Tab S7's which use an S-pen(big one), and the Microsoft surface family with the MS surface pen, and optional surface dial.
